Cacay oil is a vegetable oil obtained from the seed of the Cacay tree (Caryodendron orinocense), a species native to the Amazon region and the Orinoquía region of Colombia.
For use as a cosmetic ingredient, the oil is extracted through cold pressing, a mechanical method that helps preserve the natural characteristics of the raw material. It then undergoes filtration and quality control processes before being incorporated into formulations for external care.
In skincare and haircare formulations, it is used as part of personal care routines, depending on the type of product and its intended use.
Cultivating Cacay within responsible production systems can contribute to the care of the soil and the surrounding environment. In our region, this approach is integrated into land management practices and a production vision that seeks to balance productivity with environmental respect.
We work with a network of more than 60 partner farming families who supply Cacay fruit and participate in good selection and handling practices. This allows us to safeguard quality from the source and sustain a production model with a long-term vision.
